Leonard Frank Sobczak Sr.
September 8, 1922 - May 24, 1977
PTE. AUX BARQUES - Leonard F. Sobczak Sr., 54, died Tuesday unexpectedly in 
his home.  He was born September 8, 1922, in Sigel Township, and lived in 
Pte. aux Barques since 1975.  He married Beatrice Glaza, May 27, 1943, in 
Detroit.  Mr. Sobczak was superintendent of the Pte. aux Barques recreation 
area.  

He is survived by his wife; five sons, John Sobczak, St. Clair Shores, 
Ronald and Leonard F. Sobczak Jr., both of Bad Axe, Larry Sobczak, Port 
Huron, and Daniel Sobczak, Pointe aux Barques; two daughters, Mrs. Rodney 
Miller, Effingham, Illinois, and Cynthia Sobczak, Port Huron; his mother, 
Mrs. Martha Sobczak, Port Austin; two brothers, John Sobczak, Port Austin, 
and Joseph Sobczak, Royal Oak; and six grandchildren. 

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parisville.  
The Rev Stanley Surman, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  Remains are in the Zinger Funeral Home. Ubly, where the 
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron,
