Andres, aged 60 years, for many years a well known Miriam district resident, passed away at his home in Ionia on Wednesday evening of last week at 9 o’clock, following an illness of about two years. Mr. Andres was born in Keene township, south of this city and resided in the Miriam district for the greater part of his life, his last place of residence being on the old Divine farm south of town. On October 20, 1903 he was married to Miss Cecelia Jacoby, at Miriam, and the widow, together with the three children born to the union, survive. They are the Misses Loretta and Hilda Andres and Ernest, all at home. Other survivors are a brother, Nicholas, of near Howard City, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Faber, of Beal City; Mrs. Ben Lorain, of Ypsilanti, and Mrs. Julius Ritterstorf, of Miriam. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church at Ionia, with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery at Ionia. Mr. Andres had many friends in this community who will regret to learn of his death.
