Ionia Daily Sentinel – 28 January 1963
Mrs. Alma M. Baxter, 92, of route one, Palo, died Monday morning at the home 
of her daughter, Mrs. Kate Millard, 605 West Washington Street.  She had been 
ill about a week.  Born June 27, 1870 in Ronald Township, she was the daughter 
of the late Hiram and Harriett Dodson Minier and attended Ionia county 
schools.  She was married December 13, 1890 in Ronald Township to Fred M. 
Baxter who died in 1950.  Mrs. Baxter was a life member of Palo Eastern Star 
and attended Palo Baptist Ladies Aid society.  She is survived by two 
daughters, Mrs. Kale Millard and Mrs. Ralph Martin, both of Ionia; two 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday at Myers funeral home with the 
Rev. John B. Kerr of Palo Baptist church officiating.  Burial will be at Palo 
cemetery.
