Excerpts from Greenville Obituary

JANET BROOKS

Died September 1, 2026-age 79  surrounded by her closest family members.
Born June 9, 1947 in Ionia, daughter of the late Howard & Eunice Brooks. 

Survived by her siblings Joseph Brooks, Jimmie (Dawn) Brooks, Cathy (David) 
Harness, Nancy Prebble, nieces Lisa (Bill) Tompkins, Rebekah (Ron) Jarman, 
Annette (Brandon) Harder, Nephews Wayne (Kristen) Cantwell, Joseph (Jill) 
Cantwell, and sister-in-law Doris Brooks, other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Eunice Brooks, sisters Christy 
Brooks,Linda (Lee)Cook and brother-in-law Martin Prebble.
Janet saw the world through child like eyes, always seeing the good because that 
is the way that God made her.Janet loved Jesus & her family with her whole 
heart.
At the age of 77, she was introduced to "buggy rides",by her sister Nancy & 
Martin, which she enjoyed the faster the better & the more mud puddles, the 
better. 
Janet sang songs praising the Lord and she longed to see Him face to face.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Temple 
Baptist Church located at 1979 S. State Rd.,Ionia, MI.
Following the service, burial at Tuttle Cemetery,Afterward, returning to the 
Church to join the family for a luncheon & time of fellowship.
