Simpson Family Funeral Home - July 2021

DENA SUE BYRNE
Died Thursday July 15, 2021-age 59 in Detroit at Henry Ford Hospital.
Preceded in death by her parents; Jim & Shirley (Farr) Cole  & sister-in-law, 
Nancy Smith.
Dana attended the First Baptist Church of Carson City for over ten years, She 
was active in the Woman's Ministry, various Bible study & prayer groups, taking 
several trips with the youth group, including attending backpacking in Kentucky.
Dana restored furniture & loved crafting.
She worked in different fields, fashion merchandising, social work, postal 
carrier, massage therapist & business owner.
Her favorite things involved her family & traditions carried on & created; 
camping together, attending grand children's events, decorating cookies, 
coloring easter eggs, filling Christmas stockings for all ages.
Survived by husband, Jim; daughter's, Stephanie (Josh) Herzog of six Lakes; 
Noelle (Chris)Podoll of Clarksville; son, Colin (Shirley) Byrne of Fenwick; four 
grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, mother-in-law, sister Tonya, brothers,Art 
Smith,Bob Smith, & Jim Cole Jr., many nieces & nephews.
Visitation Monday July 19, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Simpson Family Funeral Home, 
Sheridan,MI.
Funeral services Tuesday at 11 AM July 20, 2021, First Baptist Church Fellowship 
Center, Carson City, with Pastor Jim Barret officiating.
