Excerpts from Sheridan Online Obituary

PAUL J. CLOER
Died Saturday June 5, 2021-age 81 at Grand Rapids Hospital.
Born in Germany, Immigrated to United States in 1959, age 19.
Drafted into the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Knox.
Met & married his wife Judy, enjoyed 55 years together.
Worked for General Motors for 30+ years as a supervisor. 
Paul & Judy traveled the United States & National Parks.
Paul collected beer steins.
Survived by wife, Judy; sons, Joe Closer of Sheridan and Garrett (Jessica) 
Closer of Iowa City, Iowa; sister, Lucie Pietsch of Wausau, Wisconsin; nieces 
and nephews, Claudia, Renate, Andrew, Christopher, Michael and Martina. Also 
surviving is his beloved cat, Kraken.
Preceded in death by his parents, August & Lucie Closer & brother Hansel Cloer.
Memorial service is being held Wednesday, June 9th at Simpson Family Funeral 
Home, Sheridan, at 11 AM.
Internment at Rest Haven Memorial gardens in Belding.
