She had suffered a fractured hip five weeks ago when she fell at the home of her daughter Mrs. Maurice Rathbun with whom she lived. She had resided with them for about fourteen years and the last five years had been spent at her former farm home northwest of town. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church, West Odessa Aid society, Rebekah lodge, and a charter member of the Friendship club. Surviving besides Mrs. Rathbun, is another daughter, Mrs. Homer Bartlett of Lake Odessa, a brother, Lewis McDiarmid of Alto, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Pickens chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
