She had just passed her 49th birthday. Mrs. Day was born in Schuyler county, N.Y., August 9, 1848. She came with her parents when 11 years of age to Green county, Wisconsin, and several years later to Otisco. while living in that township she was married to Oscar A. Day, January 1, 1868. Soon after they were married they moved on to a farm in west Otisco where they lived for 13 years, and from there they moved on the old homestead two miles west of Belding and lived eight years, thence to Belding where they have since resided. Four sons were born to them, William D., John L., Clyde E. and Jesse O. Day, who are all living. Mrs. Day had been in poor health for a number of years. She was a devoted, kind and loving mother, and was always a good counselor. She was a very energetic woman and highly respected by her neighbors and friends. She leaves a kind and loving husband, a devoted mother, two sisters and one brother to mourn her loss. She died as she had lived, a faithful Christian.
