He had been in poor health and had been failing gradually during the past 3 years. Born in 1853 in Wayne county, New York, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Dickerson. He came to Michigan with his parents when he was four years old and settled in Kalamazoo county, at the age of 16 he moved to Ronald township and married Orissa A. Cheney in 1876. He was a member of the Palo Oddfellow lodge. Surviving are the widow and four sons, Claude C. and George E., of Ronald; Mrs. Mabel Lyons, of Remus and Mrs. Charles Mattison, Ionia township, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Mattison home in Ionia township with Rev. S.N. Drake, of Hubbardston, officiating. Burial at the North Plains cemetery. Bearers will be Roy Hargraves, C.C. Luce, John Eaves, William Easterday, Dan Heath and William Howe. Additional Comments: Funeral: Tuesday 1, October 1935 N.
