Lake Odessa Wave-Times December 29, 1922

                   Mrs. Andrew Dirr Dies At Traverse city.
Word was received here last Saturday morning of the death of Mrs.Andrew Dirr at 
the hospital at Traverse city that morning, where she had been a patient for the 
past four or five years.

Mrs.Dirr was the oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs.Andrew Reahm, and for many years 
lived with her family on their large farm north east of town owned by Mr.Dirr. 
She was the mother of three children, Forrest, a son died two years ago, Mrs 
Forrest Deatsman, who lives northwest of town and Miss Moneita, who lives part 
of the time with her father and part of the time with her sister, Mrs. Deatsman. 
Mrs.Dirr also leaves two brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, Mr and Mrs.Deatsman west of 
town Tuesday afternoon.

Rev. A.H. Lash of the Congregational church preached and Mrs.Verne Braden and 
Miss Ilo Lucas furnished the music. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.

                                  OBITUARY
Carrie C. Reahm, eldest child of Mr and Mrs Andrew Reahm, was born March 2nd, 
1873, at Woodland, Barry County, Mich., and died Dec. 23, 1922, aged 49 years, 9 
months and 1 days.

When a young girl she was converted and joined the Luthern Church, later joining 
the Congregational church of Lake Odessa.

On November 30, 1893 she was united in marriage to Andrew Dirr of Pleasant Bend, 
Ohio. to this union were born three children, Forrest A., who departed this life 
in 1921, Mrs.Wilma Deatsman and Moneita Dirr of Lake Odessa.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two daughters, father, mother, two 
brothers, Albert of Lake Odessa, Fred of Sunfield, three sisters,Mrs Emily 
Tasker, Mrs.Bertha Yager and Mrs.Flora Ingall of Lake Odessa and a host of 
relatives and friends.

We wish to thank the many friends the neighbors, the minister for his comforting 
words, and singers and all those who helped us in any way for their kindness and 
sympathy.
