          SHARON LEE DUKES  1947 - 2017
   Sharon Lee Dukes, aged 70, of Ionia, Michigan, passed away Sept. 27, 2017.  She
was born on May 12, 1947, the daughter of John and Gladys (Priest) Devers.
   Sharon had been very involved in the Ionia Moose since 1978.  She received
Academy of Friendship in 1980, College of Regents in 1990, Recorder Star in 2003, 
Sponsored 27 people, Secretary Treasurer for 2 years and P.E.P. Chairman for 1 year.
   Sharon is survived by her sons, Stacy L. (Jessica) Hawley of Ionia, John L. Dukes
of Portland; daughter Trina M. (Richard) Thayer of Ionia; step-daughters, Deb Dukes 
of Ionia, Lynda (Brian) Whitford of Poterville; brother, Richard L (Vicki) Devers 
of Greenville; sister-in-law, Helen Denvers of Lyons; grandchildren, Autumn Hawley, 
Sierra Hawley, Xavier Peterson, Anna Peterson, Kailynn Peterson, Victoria Alfaro,
Jesse (Kelli) Alfaro, Richard Alfaro, Robby Pettengill, Zachary Thayer, Micci Thayer, 
McKenzie Thayer, Joel Thayer, Megan Dukes, Joshua Dukes, Conner Royse, Jeremy Triggs, 
Jason (Kassie) Triggs, Cryssi Lewis, Robert Mann II, Dustin Mann, Michael John Mann, 
Stephanie Arredondo, Cassandra Alexander, Julia Teeter; and 13 great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Raymond L. Hawley;
second husband, second husband, John L. Dukes; stepson, Melvin Alexander; and brothers, 
Robert E. Denvers and John C. Denvers.
   Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in
Ionia with Mr. Rick Denvers officiating.  Interment Balcom Cemetery.  Visitation will 
be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to the Ionia Moose Lodge.  Online condolences may be made at
