Ronald George Fletcher, aged 63, passed away suddenly at his home Friday, June 
22, 2007.  He was born August 27, 1943 in Pewamo, the son of Raymond and 
Marion (Wright) Fletcher. He married Dorothy Eckley April 2. 

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, Sisters Rita Frayer of St. Johns, Sharon 
(Lewis) Hagle of Eagle, Kathleen (Fred) Hearld of Fenwick. Brothers Jerry 
(Donna) of Hubbardston, Terry (Mary), Phil (Linda), Richard, Mark (Kay) all of 
Muir. Step-daughters Toni (Scott) Feehan of Muir, Theresa (John) Platte of 
Westphalia, Tina (Matt) Cook of Pewamo; 9 grandchildren Jeremy, Rachael, 
Bobby, Brandon, Brent, Chelsea, Tracie, Julissa, Michael; 1 Great 
granddaughter Elizabeth and numerous nieces and nephews. Sisters in law 
Margaret (Homer) Shute of Rudyard, Sally (Lou) Ceccacci of Tawas City. Brother 
in law Leo (Donna) Barens of Diamondale. 2 sisters in law Ruth Barens of 
Rudyard and Barbara Barens of East Tawas. Ron was preceded in death by his 
parents, Brother Roger, and brother in laws Wesley Frayer, Lloyd Gensterblum, 
Joe and Charles Barens and nephew Billy Frayer.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. (1965 -1967)  Ron was a 
member and past commander of the Walter T. Roach American Legion Post 182 in 
Hubbardston since 1967. He was a member of the Lyons-Muir VFW Post 4646. He 
loved his country.  He was previously employed by Lindell Drop Forge in 
Lansing and currently employed by Alticor in Ada.

He was a very loving husband, loved being with family and friends. His 
grandchildren were the apples of his eyes. He loved farming, flowers, 
auctions, watching the Tigers, MSU and UofM basketball games and anything John 
Deere Green. He had a heart of gold and was always so helpful to others.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic 
Church in Hubbardston with Father Charlon Mason officiating. Interment and 
Military Honors will follow at the St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Visitation 
will be on Monday 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Muir. 
Rosary will be Monday at 8 p.m.  Anyone wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Hubbardston American Legion Post 182, Lyons Muir VFW Post 
4646 or St. John the Baptist Church.
