The Lake Odessa Wave-Times, Friday, July 14, 1911

William G. Foght, son of Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Foght, was born July 21, 1868 in 
the township of Odessa where he lived with his parents until they died about 
ten years ago.  

He was deaf and dumb from early babyhood and was sent to Flint for schooling 
where he received a practical education, which aided him in doing many kinds 
of work, and helped him to get more out of life than he otherwise would.

For the past sixteen years he has been an invalid suffering from creeping 
paralysis, the last ten years of which time he has lived with his sister Mrs. 
Henry Curtis and his brother M. L. Foght, dying at the home of the former 
Monday evening July 9.

The funeral was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Curtis Wednesday, 
sermon preached by Rev. Isaac Mourer, a long time friend of the Fought family, 
and the remains were laid to rest in Lakeside cemetery.
