Grace L. (Bonoite) (Shattuck) Gallup, 94, passed away at home surrounded by her 
family on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012. She was born on July 19, 1917 in Carson City 
the daughter of Henry and Loia (Colwell) Bonoite.

Grace was a member of the Women of the Moose in Ionia and the Wilson's Tour 
Group. She loved going to many states and foreign countries, going to the 
casinos, playing bingo, and watching birds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewis Shattuck; children 
Henry, Russell and Dale Shattuck; grandson, David Shields; great grandchildren; 
Joseph Clark and Eric Michael Shields; second husband, Manley Gallup; brother, 
Clair "Hap" Bonoite; sister, Ellie Hopkins.

Surviving are her children, Shirley Shields, Greta Neilson, Gayann Cupps, Tom 
Shattuck, Charley (Sharon) Shattuck, Terri (Bob) Bowerman, Elly (Paul) 
Bairefoot and LuAnn Reed; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-
great grandchildren; sister, Arlene Hopkins; several nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at the 
Ionia Moose Lodge with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment will be in 
Tuttle Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ionia 
Area Hospice in memory of Grace. Complete arrangements are with Lehman Funeral 
Homes Ionia Chapel.
