DONNA JEAN GARDNER, 78
Donna Jean Gardner, of Lake Odessa, age 78, passed away on Thursday, January 
24, 2019. She was born on February 20, 1940, the daughter of Merrill and 
Beatrice Stimback. Donna loved reading romance novels and watching crime 
shows (C.S.I. and Lae and Order) and Big Brother. She was a crossing guard in 
lake Odessa for many years, worked at Lacks Industries for some time and also 
worked at several Adult Foster Care homes, eventually finishing at Cumberland 
Retirement Village. 

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; her 
husband Jack Gardner and a son, John Gardner. Surviving are her sons Eric 
Gardner of lake Odessa and Nicholas (Andrea) Gardner of Ovid; many 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Alice (Vincent) Wernette; 
several nieces and nephews. 

The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Dewey Thompson, Faith Hospice 
at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich 
Sr., Ionia. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa. The family 
will receive friends 10:00 am. until the time of the funeral on Tuesday.
