Excerpts from Belding Obituary

TODD A. GIBBS

Died Tuesday, June 9, 2026-age 55 of Belding following a 11 year battle with 
Multiple System Atrophy and Parkinsons.
Born July 25, 1970 in Edwards, California, son of Max E & Allean (Ort) Gibbs.
Graduated from Belding High School in Class of 1989.
Married his high school sweetheart, Debra Ann Yanke, on March 2, 1991 at Shiloh 
Community Church. She survives.
Todd worked at Erhardt Construction for many years as a skilled carpenter.
Todd served for 19 years as a member of the Belding Fire Department.
He enjoyed wood-working projects & fishing.
He was a member of the Smyrna Bible Church, faith & family was important to him.
Survived by his wife, Debra, his son, Tyler Max Gibbs of Belding, his father, 
Max E. (Elzada) Gibbs of Belding; sisters, Kea Lee Gibbs of Belding & Tieheena 
Lemerond & Lisa Cowley, both of Wisconsin; nieces & nephews, Raven, Dylan, Kylan 
& Myana; his mother-in-law, Shirley Yanke of Belding; several Aunts & Uncles, 
cousins, Many work & fire-fighting friends & his pet Labrador, Ella.
Preceded ind death by his mother, Allean in 2021, his maternal & paternal 
grandparents and an Uncle, Tim Gibbs.
Celebration of Life will be Monday, June 15 from 2-4pm & 6-8 pm. at Verdun 
Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding,MI 48809.
Private interment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, next to his Mother.
Donation in Todd's Memory are recommended to Smyrna Bible Church or Belding Fire 
Department.
