Ionia Sentinel Standard, 18 Aug 1978

Funeral services for Maynard C. Gierman, 57, who died Tuesday morning were
Thursday afternoon at the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Carl Olson of Sunfield
officiating.  Organist was Mrs. Josephine Barna.  Bearers were John Peterson,
Jerry Gregory, Frederick Kernen, Robert Wizorek, Sr., Glen D. Smith and Raymond
Nash.  Burial was in Balcom cemetery.

Attending services in a group were members of the Ionia Lions club; officers of
Ionia County National Bank and staff and employees of Grand Valley Chrysler
Plymouth.

Following graveside services, luncheon was prepared and served to family and
friends at the family home on Potters Road.
