Mrs. Minnie A. Gilpin, 76, died Monday at Ionia. She was born in Orange August 9, 1876, daughter of William and Mary Baker. She had been a resident of Ionia county for 50 years, 20 years in Detroit and a few years on a farm near Fenwick. She attended the LeValley Methodist church. Surviving are two brothers, Frank Baker of Ionia and Phil Baker of Marion and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Mix and Miss Louise Baker of Chicago. A son, Matthew, died at the age of 14 in 1924 and another son died in infancy. A sister, Mary Hunt, died last Thanksgiving Day. Six other brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted at the LeValley Methodist church by the Rev. Henry Ball Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Interment was in Tuttle Cemetery.
