Long Illness Claims Dr. Thomas Gilson

Dr. Thomas D. Gilson, 56, of Ann Arbor, passed away Monday morning at the 
Veterans Hospital, Battle Creek, after an extended illness.

He was born at Lake Odessa April 14, 1913, son of Leon Gilson and the late Pearl 
Gilson. A graduate of the Lake Odessa High School and U of M Dental School at 
Ann Arbor, he had practiced at Ann Arbor until his illness. 

Surviving are his wife, Marie; a daughter, Judy; two sons, Mark and Paul; six 
grandchildren; his father and step-mother of Hallandale, Fla., and a brother, 
Dr. Charles Mark Gilson of Ann Arbor. 

Memorial services will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at Ann Arbor 
with burial in Ann Arbor, pending word from the son in service.

A memorial fund is being established for the Dr. Thomas D. Gilson Dental School 
Library of Ann Arbor.
