Gleason was held at the M. E. church Sunday, April 23. Mr. Gleason died at his home on Water street, Wednesday, April 19, at 6:35. He had been in ill-health for two years but not enough to give up. He spoke of being able to go to work soon complaining very little and always planning on something to do when he got better. Mr. Gleason was born in Pennsylvania in 1856 coming to Michigan when a young man. Mr. Gleason’s thoughts were all for his family, friends and home and the dear and only sister, she being the last one of the brothers and sisters living. His last thoughts and words were for his wife, a beautiful smile shone in the eyes and lingered on the lips after life had fled as if he were glad to be at rest. He leaves to mourn his loss beside his wife, two sons and one daughter, a little grandson and a dear sister, Mrs. George R. Gleason of Belding, Grant F. Gleason of the Philippines, Leo R. Gleason of Belding and Mrs. Harry Kuger and little son, whose loss is his gain.
