In the fall of 1862 she was united in marriage to Mark Gray who departed this life Sept. 21, 1912. To this union were born eleven children; four sons and seven daughters; Phebe Williams, Rose, Philip E. and Homer having gone on before. There remain to mourn, six children, thirteen grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, two brothers, Victor and Daniel Davis of Yale, Mich., besides many other relatives and friends. She spent her entire life in the vicinity of Woodbury. Early in her married life she experienced religion and united with the U. B. church, and remained true and faithful unto death. Dear mother has gone to her heavenly home, To dwell with the angels above; Thru eternal years her spirit will rest With God, thru His infinite love. Why should we mortals weep? Tis a part of God's plan. Tho our hearts are sore, Why ask for more? God's ways are all for the best. Funeral services were held at the U. B. church, Woodburn, Rev. M. F. Early.
