Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Jan 1937

Mrs. Blanche Green, wife of George Green, died at her home on Benton Court 
Friday morning at 8 o’clock, following about a year’s illness.  Mrs. Green was 
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ley and was born in Sterling, Illinois, in 
January, 1878.  She was married to George Green in 1923 and since that time has 
resided in Ionia.

Surviving besides the husband are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Pirkey and Mrs. 
Lillie Bane, both of Saybrook, Illinois.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Boynton funeral chapel Sunday 
afternoon, January 17, at 2 o’clock, with Rev. Mathew M. Duffey officiating.  
Burial at the family lot at Lyons cemetery.
