He was a retired farmer and lived for many years in Bloomer township, Montcalm county. He was born August 28, 1880 in Bushnell township, the son of Lucinda C. and William Greenhoe. For the past several years Mr. Greenhoe had lived near Matherton in Ionia county. His wife, the former Ida M. Dalton, preceded him in death 35 years ago. Survivors include a son, Merle W. Greenhoe of Belmont; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Jones of Greenville, and Mrs. Harvey Stites of Grand Rapids; a brother, Nathan E. of Muir; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Mrs. Frank Wolverton of Vickeryville, and Mrs. Leslie Sherd of Sheridan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Estep funeral home in Muir with the Rev. Norman Wibert officiating and interment at Bloomer Center cemetery. Bearers will be Kenneth Wolverton, Keith Wolverton, Bruce Wolverton, Ronald Sherd, Duane Sherd and Harlan Sherd. The family will meet relatives and friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 at the chapel.
