Doris Lue (Durrett) Hanline, age 78, of Barryton, formerly of Ionia, went to be
with Jesus her Savior on Thursday, September 22, 2005.  She was born on June 15,
1927 in Bentons Ferry, West Virginia to Travis and Erma (Muller) Durrett.  Doris
met her husband, Leonard “Bud” Hanline during World War II.  They were married
January 2, 1946 in Monagah, West Virginia right after Bud was discharged from
the U.S. Army.  Doris and Bud lived in Ionia for fifty years before moving to
their home at Tubbs Lake, near Barryton.  She loved reading the Bible, hunting
and fishing, bowling, playing bingo and doing crafts.  The last thing she made
was a knitted baby blanket for her great-grandson.  Doris belonged to the
Barryton Church of God, a member of the Women of the Moose in Ionia where she
held the highest honor for women.  She was also a life member of the VFW
Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #473 in Barryton.

Doris is survived by her loving husband, Bud of 59 ˝ years; son Lenny (Susan)
Hanline of Lowell; daughter Naomie (Jimmie) Clark of Barryton; five
grandchildren, one step-great granddaughter, one great grandson and brother
Victor Durrett of Fairmont, West Virginia.  Besides her parents, she was
preceded in death by a brother and six sisters.  Funeral services will be held
at 11 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2005 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
 The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, 2005 from 2 p.m. to 4
p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Balcom
Cemetery in Ionia.  Memorial contributions in Doris’ name may be made to the
American Lung Association.
