Richard Kidder, pastor of the Lyons Methodist church, officiating. Mr. Harper died Tuesday noon at the Ionia rest home. He had been in ill health 10 months. He was born June 15, 1875 in Maxville, W. Va., the son of James and Anna Harper. He was married to Mae Angel in Ionia in 1914. Mr. Harper moved to Lyons about 40 years ago and since that time had lived at the same residence on route one. He was a metal roofer for 45 years and retired about a year ago. He is survived by his wife, Mae, three sons, Harold of Ionia, and George and Ray of Lyons; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Crawford of Kennedy, N.Y., and Mrs. Anna Randall of Monroe; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbur and Rob of Maxville, W. Va., and one sister, Mrs. Ett Richie of Franklin W. Va. Interment will be at North Plains cemetery.
