Leo B. Hinds, 76, of Houghton Lake died Sunday at a hospital in Grayling.  He is
survived by his wife, Clara; three sons, Maxwell W., and Herbert W. of Portland
and George P. of Grand Haven; two daughters, Rosetta S. Gruhn of Lansing and
Adele Viilo of Grand Rapids; nine stepchildren; 27 grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren.  He was employed by Motor Wheel in Lansing 20 years before
retiring in 1963.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 pm at Palmer-Bush funeral home in
Lansing.  Rev. William Britton of Wesleyan Church of Houghton Lake will
officiate and interment will be at Deepdale Memorial Park in Lansing.  Family
will be at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
 Bearers will be grandsons, Randy, Daniel and Douglas Hinds, Kevin Viilo, Dale
and David Gruhn.
