Darlene was born June 18, 1958, in Sheridan, the daughter of Max and Stella Houghteling Cesar. She graduated from Belding High School and had worked at Electrolux until its closing. Darlene was a loving person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was married in August 1984 to Rocky Hopkins and he survives along with their children, Richard L. Hopkins, Katherine and Eddie Case, all of Belding, Kim and Ken McDonald of Alabama; Grandson, Kadin Mathew Hopkins; parents, Max Sr. and Elsie Cesar; siblings, Max Jr. and Dawn Cesar, Belinda and Nacho Delgado, Tanna Moralas, Jody and Jack Glenn, Jim and Kathy Mays, Terri Youmans, Dick Collins, Bill Collins, Patsy Raby, Donald and Nancy Gellmer, Betty Lampami, Judy and Dale Wilcox; and many nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded by her mother, Stella; and three brothers, Gregory D. Mays, Carl Cesar and Billy Cesar. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Private interment will follow in Greene Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to Shiloh Community Church.
