Ionia Shopper's Guide-Saturday June 25, 2022

                                HURT

James Earl Hurt age 76 of Ionia passed away June 16, 2022 at home with his 
family. He was born October 19, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Doran and 
Reva Hurt. James entered the Air Force in 1964 serving during the Vietnam War as 
a Military Policeman, being honorably discharged in 1968 as a Sergeant.

He went on to marry Jacqueline M. Hetrick August 19, 1966 in Brimley. together 
they raised 3 children.

Surviving James are his wife Jackie Hurt of Ionia. Children; Kenneth Earl Hurt 
of Ionia, Tina Marie Hurt of Ionia and Richard Alan Hurt and Nicki of Missouri 
grandchildren Rodney (Lindsay) Minier, Tyler (Katie) Minier, Richard Hurt Jr., 
Jacqueline Sue Casey,Kenneth A.Hurt, Austin Hurt, Ashley Hurt and Brandon Hurt. 
great-grandchildren Aries, Liam and Lucas. brother Roy (Patti) Hurt of Ohio. 
James was preceded in death by several brothers and sister and his parents.

He was a life member of the Sheridan VFW Post.

Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia Thursday, June 30th at 11:00 am. Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Lewy Body Dementia-Parkinson's Foundation. Online condolences
