Helen L. Johnson, age 76, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Saranac, passed away 
Sunday, May 22, 2005 in Grand Rapids.  She was born February 16, 1929 the 
daughter of Delbert and Frances (Carter) Kropf.  She married Norton S. Johnson 
in 1951 in Lowell.

Helen is survived by her loving husband Norton Johnson of Grand Rapids; son 
Norton and Kelly Johnson of Cedar Springs, Robert and Pam Johnson of Wyoming; 
brother Robert and Jan Kropf of Lowell; four grandchildren and one great 
grandchild.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac with Rev. Paul Riley officiating.  The family will receive friends and 
relatives Wednesday at 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  
Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution in Helen’s name to Parkinson’s 
Disease, American Cancer Society, or Multiple Sclerosis.
