Joynt, 86, died Friday afternoon at Ionia County memorial hospital where she had been a patient since October 2. She was born February 25, 1874 in Midland county, the daughter of David H. and Lucinda Williams. She was married May 24, 1899 at Hope to John C. Joynt. In 1912 they bought a farm in Sebewa township residing there until Mr. Joynt’s death in 1936. Since she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Gierman at 610 Hackett street and spent the winters at Bradenton, Fla. Mrs. Joynt was a member of the First Methodist church and Dalzell and Howard circles of WSCS. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Gierman of Ionia; three sons, William L. and John W. Joynt of Tucson, Ariz., and Gerald C. Joynt of Birmingham; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Harold A. Jayne officiating. Interment will be at East Sebewa cemetery at 2:30.
