          GONE TO HER REWARD.

MRS. S, II, KART DIED TUESDAY EVENING AT 9:00 O'CLOCK.

   For the second time in four months is the  Kart family called upon to mourn the
loss of one of their loved 
ones.  This time it is the wife of Samuel Kart and mother of John, Charles, George
and the late Harvey Kart, 
who died about 9:00 o'clock last evening of sugar diabetes. Mrs. Kart has been in
ill health for a long time but 
was not thought dangerously so until yesterday morning when she was taken much
worse.  She was put to 
bed and all day she lay hovering between life and death only waiting for the summons
of her Master which 
finally came to relieve her of her suffering.  Mrs. Kart was a kindly woman and
loved by all who knew her, for 
she was generous to a fault and of a most sympathetic nature.  She will be sadly
missed not only hy her 
immediateiate family but all her friends and neighbors both here and in her former
home Campbell.  Beside 
the above mentioned children she leaves two daughters Mrs. Hurd Green and Mrs. F. E.
Stadel and 
granddaughter Nellie Burt who has made her home from infancy with her grand
parents.

   The entire family have the heartfelt sympathy of the community at large in their
sad bereavement.

   Rachel Shopbell was born in Ashland, O, on Nov. 15, 1843.  She married to Samuel
Kart on June 14, 1866 in 
Ashland and came to Michigan in the early 70's settling on a farm in Campbell.  They
moved to this village 
about five years ago where Mr. Kart has purchased the grist mill now operated by
Kart Bros.. To this union 
was born eight children, five of whom remain to mourn her loss.

   The funeral will be held at the Apostolie church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30
o'clock, Rev. Rairigh and Smith 
officiating.  Burial in Lakeside cemetery.
