Rites at Hastings For Floyd Kimble

Floyd H. Kimble, age 74, of Coats Grove, passed away Monday, December 29 at his 
home. 

He was born at Lake Odessa February 18, 1901, the son of Phillip and Mattie 
(Rodebough) Kimble, and was a graduate of the Woodland High School.

Mr. Kimble married Ola Farthing of Woodland, March 15, 1922 and had operated a 
dairy service in Woodland for several years and farmed in the Coats Grove area 
for many years. He was a rural milk hauler for more than 30 years and a 
custodian for eight years retiring in 1964, and had been in ill health since 
1965. 

Surviving are his wife, one son Richard of Lake Odessa, a daughter Mrs. Betty 
Kenfield of Hastings, four grand children, one great grandson, his mother, Mrs. 
Mattie Schneider of Hastings and a stepsister Mrs. Ervin (Leona) Bates of Lake 
Odessa. 

Funeral services were held at 1:30 Wednesday, December 31 at the Leonard Osgood 
Funeral Home at Hastings with burial in the Woodland Memorial Park.
