Ionia Sentinel Standard - June 25, 2011


Pauline P. Knepper, 79, passed away June 23, 2011. She was born Sept. 9, 1931 
in Ionia, the daughter of Heny and Edith (Merkle) Castle. Pauline was a member 
of the Ionia Moose Lodge. She was an avid golfer and reader and liked going to 
the casino.

Pauline is survived by her special friend, Bert Huested of Ionia, children, Dal 
(Randy) Barnes of Ionia, Rod (Pam) Knepper of Saginaw; grandchildren, David 
(Katie) Holcomb, Deb (Doug) Hotchkiss, Katee Knepper, Lee Knepper, Josh 
Knepper, Chris, Alexa, Alissa, Elijah, and Hannah Knepper; 12 great 
grandchildren; sister-in-law June Castle of Ionia; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by daughter Dawn Holcomb and four brothers, Lamar, 
Clifford, Henry and Max.

A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held at the Ionia Moose from 4 to 7 
p.m. Tuesday, June 28. Funeral arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
