Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard - Mon. March 4, 1957


Mrs. Mina Koutz, 52, Route 2, Lake Odessa, died at 5:55 a.m. in Hastings where 
she had been a patient for five days. She had been in ill health for about 
three years.

Mrs. Koutz was born August 22, 1904 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Herbert Van Camp. She married C. Lloyd Koutz, February 3, 1925 in Ionia 
and spent her entire married life on a farm near Lake Odessa.

She was a member of the Calvary UB church in Lake Odessa.

Surviving beside her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Alton Watts of New Castle, 
Ind.; Two sons, the Rev. Leonard of Waukeegan, Ill.; and Donald of Grand 
Rapids: one brother, Arthur Randall of Ionia and four grandchildren.

Her body reposes at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa where it will be 
taken to the Calvary church for services Tuesday at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Frank Moxon of Woodland will officiate assisted by the Rev. I.H. 
Osgood. Interment will be in lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.
