Ionia County News, 11 Feb 1944

Thomas M. Kowalski died at his home on Webber Street, Sunday morning, January
30, after a long illness.  He was 61 years old.

Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. [unreadable], Ionia; Mrs. J. [unreadable] ,
Ill; Mrs. Stella Elwood, Mrs. Grover Chapin and Mrs. Virginia Ross, Detroit; one
brother, Michael Kowalski, Ionia.

Father John S. Fons offered the requiem mass in SS. Peter and Paul church
Wednesday morning at 9:15.  Bearers were Thomas Duffey, M. Feeney, Amil
Slowinski, Frank, Patrick and Robert Gazella.  Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
