Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 Aug 1936

The death of George H. Kuhtz occurred at his home on West Lytle street Sunday 
evening August 16.  Mr. Kuhtz had been ill for ten weeks, five of which were 
spent in the University hospital in Ann Arbor.  He had lived in Ionia about 
thirty-five years, and had engaged in the laundry business for eighteen years 
but had retired.  Mr. Kuhtz was a member of the Ionia Methodist church of Ionia.

Mr. Kuhtz was born September 17, 1863 in Ionia and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. 
William Kuhtz.  His wife, the former Alice Taft, died August 27, 1934.

He leaves one daughter, Ione Davidson, a brother Louis Kuhtz, and a sister 
Katherine Taylor.

The funeral will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon August 19 at 3 o’clock 
with Rev. A. T. Luther officiating.  Burial will be at the Highland Park 
cemetery.
