The Ionia Daily Standard, Wednesday, September 11, 1901

The remains of Mrs. Ellen M. McBride were received in this city this morning 
from Chicago, for interment, and they were taken direct from the morning train 
to Oak Hill and given a resting place in the family lot.  

Deceased was a daughter of the late Myron Bailey, and the family were long-
time residents of Ionia.  Deceased died in Chicago on Monday, and was aged 56 
years.  Accompanying the remains were Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Pond of Chicago, 
(Mrs. Pond being a daughter); and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bailey and Mrs. McKay of 
Grand Rapids.
