Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Mar 1970

Evan H. McFeaters, 61, of 625 Townsend, died Friday afternoon at Ionia County
Memorial hospital.  He had been in ill health two years.

Born in Johnstown, Pa., November 21, 1908, he was the son of Leon and Lillie Baird
McFeaters.  He attended Johnstown school and later worked as a machinist in plants
in Pennsylvania.  He moved to Ionia in 1948 where he worked with a survey crew for
Ionia County road Commission eight years and TRW in Portland as a machinist 12 years
before retiring September 1968 due to ill health.

He lived with his mother for the past 20 years and she survives as does a daughter,
Mrs. Charles Green of Johnstown, Pa. and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Boynton-Leddick funeral home.  Rev.
Chester Erickson of Zion United Methodist church will officiate and interment will
be at McBride’s cemetery.
