Gladys A. McLeod, age 73, of Saranac, passed away September 13, 2006 in 
Lowell. She was born February 28, 1933 in Keene Twp. the daughter of Glenn and 
Ethel (Compton) Weeks. 

She graduated from Saranac High School in 1950 Gladys married Richard Soules 
in 1958 who preceded her in death in 1962. She married Dean McLeod May 6, 1966 
in Saranac. She lived in Saranac all her life.

Gladys is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Dean McLeod of Saranac; 
sons Ronald and Christi Soules of Lowell, Chris and Terri Soules of Saranac; 
daughters, Kerri and Russell Shaler of Saranac, Amy and Scott Luna of South 
Lyon; brother, Ron and Shirley Weeks of Saranac; sisters Crystal Taylor of 
Charlotte, Alberta Allen of Ionia, June and Robert Smith of Saranac, Beatrice 
and Fred Bowen of Saranac, Joy Raimer of Saranac; 9 grandchildren, 1 great 
grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday at Saranac Community Church 
with Rev. John Madvig officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives Friday 5 to 8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Any one wishing 
may make a memorial contribution in Gladys's name to Saranac Fire Department 
or Alzheimer's association.
