Meyers, 72, died at 11:58 p.m. Thursday at Pennock hospital, Hastings, where she had been a patient for the past twelve days. She had been ill for some time. Born Rose E. Beard January 23, 1885 in Grand Rapids, her parents were James and Ellen (Olmstead) Beard. She was married to Bert Meyers, August 7, 1902 and spent her entire married life in Lake Odessa and area. She made her home at 4734 Tupper Lake road and she was a member of EUB church of Lake Odessa and also the WSWS and the EUB Aid society of the church. Preceded in death by her husband January 30, 1954, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Forest (Esta) Brown of Oxford; Mrs. Victor (Pauline) Rogers of Lake Odessa, and Mrs. Roberta Laurila of Grand Rapids; a son, Leon of Middleville; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. The body is at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa, where Mrs. Meyers’ funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. A.R. Kuehn officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
