Funeral services for Sidney Miedema, 73, of 3336 Bellamy Road, Orleans will be
held Friday at the Huffman Funeral Home.  Rev. Robert Koornneef will officiate
at the 1:30 p.m. services.  Interment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens.  Mr.
Miedema was born May 6, 1898 in the Netherlands.  He died September 28 at Grand
Rapids Osteopathic hospital.  He was married to Tillie Visbeck May 24, 1917 in
Grand Rapids.

He was a self-employed farmer and a United States citizen.  He was a member of
the Belding Christian Reformed Church.

Mr. Miedema is survived by his wife Tillie; one daughter, Mrs. Herman (Jane)
Seif of Smyrna; three brothers, Ernie of the Netherlands, Ted of Byron Center
and James of Zeeland; three grandchildren, Ernest, Marilyn, and Ronald; and
seven great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
