Rita Gertrude Miller, 94, of Pewamo passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.  She was
born on Dec. 27, 1920, in Portland the daughter of Joseph and Mary Gensterblum.  

Rita was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo, she enjoyed crocheting
and playing cards.  On Nov. 8, 1941 she married, Raynold Miller and he preceded her
in death.  She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Hillabrandt and
siblings Adeline Smith, Helen Rogers, Francis Gensterblum.

Surviving are her children Mary Ann (Lance) Jepson, Donald L. (Bonnie) Miller and
Thomas G. (Debbie) Miller; son-in-law, James Hillabrandt; 10 grandchildren 16 great
grandchildren; sister, Mathilda (Robert) Hufnagel.  

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14,
2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Charlon Mason presiding.  Rite of
Committal will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  The family will receive friends
6-8 p.m., Monday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210
N. Westphalia St., Westphalia.  The rosaries will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday and 3
p.m. Tuesday.  There will be a Scriptural Wake Service at 8 p.m. Tuesday. 
Arrangements are with Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
