Sentinel-Std. - Tuesday, March 22, 1977

LAKE ODESSA- Mrs. Elizabeth Mixter, 87, 740 Sixth avenue, died Monday morning 
at her residence. 

She was born March 20, 1890 in Campbell township, the daughter of George and 
Mary Sullivan Taster.

She attended rural schools and was a retired school teacher.

She married George Becker in June 1914. He preceded her in death in April, 
1958. She married Floyd B. Mixter, May 3, 1961.

Mrs. Mixter was a life member of the Lake Odessa Congregational church and the 
women's fellowship.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Marian Cowley of Lake Odessa, 
three step sons, Dr. Russell Mixter of Wheaton, Illinois, Guy Mixter of 
Salinas, California and Andrew Mixter of Lansing; one step-daughter, Mrs. 
Rowena Fickett of Phoenix; four grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren, 15 step-
great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services are Wednesday at 2 pm from the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel with Rev. 
Gary Evans and Rev. Gerald Bates officiating.

Burial is in Lakeside cemetery.
