Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 8 Apr 1957

Funeral services for C. Maxwell Monningh, who died Thursday morning were
conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Methodist church and burial
was in Balcom cemetery.  The Rev. Heath Goodwin, pastor of the church officiated
and funeral arrangements were in charge of Boynton’s funeral home.  Bearers
where S. Ernest Lucas of Mio, A.L. Stebbins of Sheridan, H.W. Stebbins of
Lansing and Leeland, Maxwell J. and Melbourne Stebbins, all of Ionia.

Relatives attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gulser of
Scarsdale, N.Y., Francis Cooney, Mrs. Vern Warner and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mohney
of Allegan, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Plummer, Mrs. N.L. Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. N.C.
Goodrich of South Haven, Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Plummer of Olivet, Mr. and Mrs.
George Cooney, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cooney and Mrs. Alvin Brandt of Holland, Mr.
and Mrs. Gerald Ritchey of Lansing, Mrs. Roscoe Hopkins of Breckenridge and Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Marshall of West Branch.
