Dr. Geo. W. More Dead.

Light of a Popular and Promising Young Life Goes Out.

Dr. Geo. W. More died, at the home of his parents, on North Dexter street, at ??
o’clock this morning, at age of 28 years.  Dr. More’s illness, with typhoid
fever, was of about three weeks’ duration, and his daily condition was watched
with widespread interest, for the young practitioner numbered very many admiring
friends in this city, which has been his home since birth, and in the going out
of the light of this promising young life, many friends mourn.  He was a
graduate of the Ionia High school, class of ’02, of the medical department of
the University of Michigan, class of ’06, and from the Chicago University, where
he took the special course in eye, ear, nose and throat diseases, which he
completed in March of this year.

Immediately upon leaving school at Ann Arbor he returned to Ionia for the
practice of his profession.  About a year later he went to Hubbell, in the Upper
Peninsula of this state, for some special work, returning to his home city,
where he has continued the practice of his profession up to the day of his illness.

At the time of his demise he was the local examiner for the Sun Life and
Metropolitan Life Insurance companies, and the New Era association, was one of
the civil service examiners, and a member of the pension board.  He was the
city’s health officer for the municipal year 1907-08, a position which he filled
with painstaking satisfaction.

He was a member of the Ionia lodge No. 36. F.&A.M., and of the Modern Woodmen.

The funeral arrangements are not yet ready for announcement.

buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
