Otto L. Olger, aged 81, of Orleans, passed away Friday, May 19, 2006 at his 
home.  He was born January 25, 1925 in Millbrook, Michigan to Glenn V. Olger 
and Mary Irene (Cummings) Olger. On March 28, 1947, Otto married Gyneth A. 
Olger in Lansing.

Otto has been a longtime resident of the Orleans area. He was a U.S. Marine 
veteran of World War II, a life member of VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan, a member 
of the Moose Lodge of Ionia and retired from the Ionia Reformatory as a 
corrections officer.

Mr. Olger is survived by two sons, Thomas and Kendra Olger of Orleans and 
Terrence and Helen Olger of Greenville; two foster sons, Donald and Nancy 
McNinch of Gowen and Jack McNinch of Orleans; three grandchildren; five great 
grandchildren; four foster grandchildren and five foster great grandchildren; 
two sisters, Hazel Wilson of Laingsburg and Beverly and Alfred Harris of Park 
Lake, Michigan; three brothers, Glen and Bonnie Olger of Bath, Ralph and 
Charlene Olger of Laingsburg and Richard and Barbara Olger of Laingsburg. He 
was preceded in death by his wife, Gwyneth A. Olger on November 20, 2003 and 
also three brothers.

There will not be any visitation held as cremation has already taken place. 
Memorial Services will be Tuesday, May 23, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Shiloh 
Community Church, Orleans with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Following 
cremation, final interment will be at the Orleans Cemetery, with military 
rites by the VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan.  For those desiring to do so, the 
family has suggested memorial considerations to the Shiloh Community Church. 
The Simpson Family Funeral Home of Sheridan is serving the Olger family.
