          MRS. BERTHA OLIVER PASSES AWAY
   Mrs. Bertha B. Oliver, 81 of Traverse City, passed away Monday afternoon at
Munson Hospital, where she 
had been a patient three weeks.
   Her parents were Edward and Ella (Lipscomb) Demaray and she has been a resident
of the Sebewa and 
Portland areas until moving to Traverse City, 15 years ago.
   She married Herbert Oliver March 15, 1906 and he passed away in May of 1952.
   Mrs. Oliver was a member of the Sebewa Baptist church.
   Surviving are two daughters Mrs. George (Gladah) Guyman of Detroit and Mrs.
Norman (Bonieta) Neilsen of 
Santa Barbara, Calif.; one son George of Traverse City:  three grandchildren and
five great grandchildren: and 
two sisters Mrs. Vern (Letha) Davis of Lansing and Mrs. Stuart (Audrey) Kussmaul of
Woodland.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel
with burial in Lakeside 
cemetery.  Rev. Elnar Unseth will officiate.
