OLMSTEAD Donald W. Olmstead, 55, Ionia businessman, died Suddenly at 9 o'clock Monday night at his home, 712 West Main Street. He was in ill health the past six months. Mr. Olmstead owned and operated the Ionia Dairy Queen and had been in business here 10 years. He was born in Ionia County October 28, 1909 and graduated from Belding High School where he was a star athlete. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Olmstead of Orleans. Mr. Olmstead was a member of Masonic lodge 355 of Belding, a member of Ionia Elks, Moose lodges, and Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife, the former Mazie Thomas to whom he was married in Lowell, July,1954, and a son Thomas. Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home under the auspices of Belding Masonic lodge. The Rev.
