                                  LEO L. PEPPER Sr.

CLARKSVILLE-Leo L.Petter Sr., 76, 203 Clarksville Rd., Clarksville, died 
Wednesday morning at Grand Rapids Osteopath hospital.

He was born August 15, 1907 in Lake County, the son of George and Emma Mann 
Pepper.

He attended schools in Lake County.

He married Ethel Boote on may 3, 1930 in Baldwin. He moved to the Clarksville 
area in 1938.

He was employed as a service manager at the Smith-Ford Agency in Lake Odessa and 
at Michigan Sunbeam Baker. He retired in 1971. He was a Fire Chief at the 
Clarksville Fire Department.

He was a member of the Clarksville Lions Club.He attended Clarksville Wesleyan 
Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ethel; his children, Leo and Wanda Pepper, Roger and 
Barb Pepper, Carroll and Joyce Eckmond and Terry and Irene Pepper all of 
Clarksville; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs.Bessy 
Merril; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Clarksville Bible Church with 
Pastor Barry Smith and Rev. Arthur Ruder officiating.Burial will be Clarksville 
Cemetery.

A memorial haas been established for the Clarksville Wesleyan Church.

Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the 
Pickens-Koops Funeral Home in Clarksville.
