Mrs. William Pettys, aged 77 years, was stricken with paralysis at her home in 
Palo Wednesday morning and passed away last night at 10 o'clock. Besides her 
husband she is survived by three children, James and A.C. Little and Mrs. 
Claude Dickerson, all from near Palo; six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. 
George Lester of Crystal, and one step-sister, Mrs. Nancy Brown of Grand 
Rapids. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 
o'clock in the Baptist church in Palo. Rev. Young will officiate and burial 
with take place in Woodard Lake cemetery.
